Bellissima Chitchat

My Photo
Name: Priscilla
Location: Chicago, IL

My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Gina & Eric

Meet Eric & Gina. They were married at the Hilton in Lisle/Naperville on May 12th. I had such a great time shooting their wedding. We had originally planned to have Eric and Gina see each other beforehand, but everything ran late, so they went the traditional route and saw each other for the first time at the altar! So we had a lot of catching up to do afterwards. They were great though. My only goal at that point was to get them to their reception on time! Okay, I was really really close :) Here are some pictures of the day. We started out in their suite...which was a lot bigger than all of us thought it would be!

Then the girl at the front desk gave us a key to a top secret VIP location in the hotel...you needed to access it in the elevator with a key...tres chic!

And you can see how happy they are to have tied the knot!

Okay, and it literally took us longer to walk out to this little location on the side of the hotel than it did to take pictures. I think they were secretly happy to have a few minutes to themselves. Gina was great, walking in heels, down hills, trying to dodge goose poop. The pics came out great.

Okay, and I couldn't help but put this one on. This is my assistant Chris. During the reception, the song Cotton Eye Joe came on, and some of the guests saw him doing a little jig on the side of the dance floor, so they invited him out to strut his stuff. As you can see, Chris isn't shy. :)

Hope you all enjoyed the pics, feel free to leave comments!

Okay, I think I FINALLY have my blog fixed. Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I've been having all sorts of problems with my blog, and anyone who knows me, knows that I don't do computers, or anything to do with computers. But I'm learning! So I have a lot to post in the next few days, so I hope you're up for it!

The first weekend in May I had the pleasure of doing a wedding for John Paul and Lisa at Silver Lakes in Orland Park, IL. They are a beautiful couple. They actually met in Las Vegas...and as everyone knows, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Apparently not for John Paul and Lisa. John Paul is from Atlanta, and Lisa from Orland Park. So when they reunited, they knew they had something good. So here are some pics from their day!

Even Lisa's dog got dressed up for the occasion!!

The flowers were beautiful. Another great job from Enchanted Florist.

Lisa's dad surprised her with a vintage Rolls Royce. She had no idea!

This is the happy couple after being pronounced husband and wife!

And boy, did we have fun taking pictures. We had a ton of time, and we took advantage of it!

I had a tough time picking the photos to put up on the blog. We had so many! Hope you enjoy them!

Amanda and Jonathan

Sorry I haven't written anything in a while. My blog was actually not working. I made some updates to my website, and maxed out my space, so it wasn't allowing me to add new posts. But all is well now.

April 27th I had the pleasure of shooting Amanda and Jonathan's wedding. That entire week it pretty much poured rain. The ground was soaked! But we managed to get some great shots anyway. They were troopers! So after the ceremony we raced to the hall and got the pictures we needed, so that way they could go off and start celebrating! I had a great time at their wedding, and found out my assistant Chris had a better time...someone asked him to dance!!! :) Hope you all like the pictures!
