My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Sloane and Shane

Wow, what a weekend. I had 2 weddings, a graduation, and a partridge in a pear tree! June has been a crazy month for me so far. Saturday I was at Patrick Haley Mansion, which is such a cool place for a wedding. It's this old mansion, and you pretty much have free reign of the entire house. Sloane and Shane were suppose to be married outdoors...but mother nature had a different plan for them that day. All day it poured, but miraculously cleared up right before their ceremony! They decided to have it inside just in case the weather changed again, but we were able to at least take pictures outside afterwards.

Here is Sloane's dress...it was beautiful.

I showed up at her dad's place to get some pictures of her hanging out with the girls and getting ready.

Okay, so I HAD to put this picture in. Sloane has a killer tattoo on her back. I asked her how long it took for all the artwork...she said 80 HOURS! OH MY GOD!

Her flowers were unbelievable. They were all done by Kehoe Designs. You'll see when you see the reception pictures...I was blown away!

Sloane and Shane decided to see each other beforehand. So they met on the patio. This is a great option if your reception immediately follows your ceremony. That way you have time to get some great shots!

Sloane looked like she walked right out of a bridal magazine....look at that hair!

I love this shot with the mansion in the background!

The flower girl having some fun at the reception!

Kehoe Designs added some extra lighting for some great effects.

Here's an overall view of the reception...just gorgeous.

These arrangements were awesome. There were orchids floating in the vases, with some of the biggest roses I've ever seen on top. There were lights under a mirror stand, so the orchids were lit with white lights, and the outside of the entire arrangement were lit with pink lights. How awesome do these look?

And the happy couple dancing for the first time as husband and wife.

I had such a great time at their wedding. Sloane and Shane had pretty much hand picked all of their songs that night that the DJ played...I loved their selections. It kept everyone dancing all night! Thanks so much guys for having me!

Stay tuned for pics from my other wedding that weekend!

Kristin and Mike's Wedding

Hi Everyone,

Well, last weekend I was quite busy. I had a wedding on Saturday with Kristin and Mike. I hadn't gotten the chance to do their engagement pictures beforehand, so we decided to do a session AFTER their wedding, which I think is going to be great! They are going to be so relaxed!

So their wedding was this past Saturday at Pilcher Park in New Lenox. Let me tell you that it was not only one of the hottest days this year, but one of the hottest days I've ever shot a wedding! I guess before we arrived to the ceremony site, it down poured. But you couldn't even tell, the ground was bone dry! It was VERY muggy and hot, and their ceremony and family portraits were all outside. I felt bad for all the guys in their tuxes. But everything worked out and we still got some great pictures.

First, I pulled up to the hotel where Kristin was getting ready...and just happened to notice a dress hanging in the window. What are the chances that their are 2 brides in the same hotel....

Kristin had Laura Kay from The Pampered Bride. She also had someone else from there too doing her hair, but I can't remember her name! Kristin looked great!

Okay, so I had to include this picture of her purse, because her mom made it! That's not even the cool thing about it, her mom made it from material from her own bridal dress and material from Kristin's prom dress! How cute is that!!! She also made Kristin's veil, so check it out later in the pictures.

This weekend I have a crazy schedule, but I'll be posting a graduation party I shot last Sunday. I've been busy lately, so keep checking for more updates this week. I have some coming up on Kailee too, she's getting so big!

Alicia and Gregg's Engagement

WOW, two blogs in one day, this is a record for me :)
On Memorial Day, I did an engagement shoot for Alicia and Gregg. We went to Elgin IL to a place called Lords Park. We were a little worried that we might encounter some cicadas. If you haven't heard about them, read an article here from the Sun Times. (these bugs give me the eeby-jeebies) But we were very lucky to not see one! Whew.

So here's a few quick snapshots from that day. Hope you enjoy!

Altijana and Shaun

Okay, there is probably going to be another blog tonight of an engagement shoot I did last week...I can't contain myself, I want to put everything up! :) As you can see, I have no patience when it comes to something fun!

This wedding I shot at the end of May, and let me tell you, it was the worst weather I've seen so far this spring. Altijana and Shaun were getting married at the Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station. I had this location 2 weeks in a row, which is soooo unusual. Anyways, I met with Altijana at her house to get some getting ready shots, and off we went to Union Station.

We were suppose to start straight at a park nearby, but because of the weather we decided to go straight to Union Station. We actually heard tornado sirens going off on our way to the ceremony/reception site. Tornadoes were spotted right in our area! Gotta love mother nature!

This cake topper was definitely their something old, it was Shaun's grandparents topper when they were married, his parents also used it, and then it was passed down to them for their wedding day. How great is that!

Because their reception followed immediately after the ceremony, they had decided to see eachother beforehand. So we made it extra special, check the next few pics out!

Here's the wedding party!

This is one of my favorites!

By the way, I changed the colors on the template...I think I'll like it better! Let me know what you think. Check the blog out later tonight to see Alicia and Gregg's engagement pics!
