Dina and Matt

Hi everyone!

It's been a busy month! I had a birthday, my 4 year anniversary, e-sessions, and weddings...life is keeping me busy! :)

This is Dina and Matt. They are such a cute couple. Let me just say, they come from great families, we had such a great time with them on their wedding day. Unfortunately, it poured almost as soon as Dina was ready until the reception. Right before they were announced into their reception, I had an opportunity to sneak them outside for some quick shots. We literally were taking pictures amongst parked cars...and you couldn't even tell! It's all in a good days work!

Melissa & Jim's E-Session

Hi Everyone!

Well, I've been quite the busy photographer lately. Meet Melissa and Jim. I know I'm not suppose to have favorites or anything, but when Melissa, Jim and I first met, I just knew they were a lot of fun, and have been looking forward to their session ever since. We just hit it off from the start. We did their E-session in downtown Chicago at a new location for me. It was great fun! First, the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We got there around 6:30ish, and there was beautiful golden light coming in. So some of the beginning pictures of the slide show you'll see some of that. The funny part is that there was a concert going on while we were downtown, so it was packed with people everywhere. So we could hear the rap concert the entire time of the shoot, and it was so loud that sometimes they couldn't even hear me, and I was only 10 feet away from them! We were all laughing so hard because their pictures look so serene, them two snuggling in a meadow of flowers, glancing at each other.....meanwhile there were profanities flying every which way while they were gazing into each others eyes!!!!! :)

Oh well, the photos show none of that! Enjoy the slideshow!

Krissy and Drake's E-Session

Well, in just a few short weeks, I will be doing the wedding of Krissy and Drake. I know we were cutting it close with their session being so close to their wedding, but this poor couple got rained out 2 times before the third session actually happened! I'm definitely not afraid of a little sprinkle when taking pictures...but this was more of a monsoon. For those of you not from the area reading this, we've had some unbelievable weather these last few weeks with major thunderstorms and flooding in parts of the state. So I guess in this case, 3rd times a charm!

2 is better than 1

Okay, how cute are these two! Photographing 2 babies instead of one is much harder than it looks here! I decided to take a little different approach on this session, so everything is done in natural light, and we actually did the session in my family room! There's something about photographing little ones, it's just a totally different mindset than a wedding. Although my clients say it's not a mindset, it's patience!!! :) Anyways, enjoy their smiling faces!

Isabella's First Birthday

Okay, I know, it's been forever. This has been a crazy summer! (I mean that in a good way!) Weddings and my children's photography have been keeping me busy, so sorry there's been a lull in the blogging. I can tell you that I'm a few weddings behind and a few children's sessions behind, so there's more to come...and somewhere in all this I managed a vacation. The nerve of some photographers, taking a vacation and all. :)

So today I present little Isabella, who is turning ONE! I photographed her family when she was just a wee little one, and did her 6months, and her christening. I can't believe she's turning 1!!!! I love photographing little babies, and seeing how much they've changed. Her cheeks are so adorable in these pictures...I just want to pinch them! Enjoy!
