Bellissima Chitchat

My Photo
Name: Priscilla
Location: Chicago, IL

My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Out of the Office

Hey everyone,

I will be out of the office until Monday, January 28th. I'm heading to sunny LA for the next 2 days for a seminar. It's with some photographers that I follow a bit- Jules Bianchi and John Mireles. I'm pretty psyched about the seminar. Seminars to me are like refueling your car...you've got to do it or else you'll run out of gas!!! So this is to kick off the new season!

Then when I return, it is Kailee's 2nd Birthday party. So I'm taking the weekend off! We have a ton of family and friends coming, so it's going to be a lot of craziness. Kailee's theme for her party is Cinderella...I'll be sure to post some pictures of my little princess.

Take care and I'll talk to you soon!

YEAH GIANTS!!!!!

Okay, I can breathe now. Actually, I really like Brett Favre, so I feel a little bad. He had a terrible second half, not himself at all. It could be b/c it was -25 degrees out there.

Friday, I did a mini engagement shoot in the city. It was about -5 degrees with the windchill. We had to do it b/c I'm making them a save the date card, and their wedding is in July! It was so cold at one time, I couldn't tell if I was actually clicking the button for the shutter or turning the dial on my camera! My hands were frozen! Aimee and Jay were freezing too! So we cut it short, I didn't want them to look back at their pictures and say, man, do we look cold! So we're going to continue it when it's a little warmer! :) You'll see a sneak peak at what we did sometime this week.

I can't watch anymore

Okay, I'm watching the Giants/Packers game, and I want to throw up right now. I'm so anxious, I can't believe that the Giants kicker has missed 2 field goals AND a touchdown was called back.
Now we're in overtime....GO GIANTS!

Sunday football

Well, tomorrow, I'm going to be cramming in about a million things before the first football game comes on. I love watching football, yes, I know, a little odd. But I do! I like sports in general, but there's something about the football season. Maybe because when it starts, it's the start of my favorite season.

Last week I missed one of the games that would've been really hard for me to watch, Dallas and New York. They have been 2 of my favorite teams all year, and actually, I've been telling people that I thought by next year the Giants were going to be an unstoppable team. Yes, you heard it here first. I like Dallas because you have Tony Romo...okay, need I say more? :) He played at Eastern Illinois when my brother was in grad school there, plus, I just like when a team and all the teammates are looking out for one another, it's a little refreshing to actually see by example that there is no "I" in Team.

So they're playing the Packers, and as much as I like Brett Favre, especially after all the so called experts said it's time for him to retire, a true Bears fan can never cheer for Green Bay!
So GO GIANTS!!!

Anyways, here's a picture of James and I at the Bears vs. Minnesota game this year. We had a blast!

And here was the view from where we were sitting. There's not a bad seat in the stadium.

Did I mention I have a secret crush on Greg Olsen?

Lots of New Stuff-The Daily Bride

I hope everyone is having a great start to their new year! There has been a lot going on with Bellissima, I don't even know where to begin.

First, if you're waiting for some orders...they're on their way! The week of being sick, well, that was my vacation I guess. :) So I've been playing a little bit of catch up. So thank you all for being patient.

Today, I wanted to let everyone know about a great new website that just launched January 1st called "The Daily Bride." You can visit it HERE

It's new for the Chicago area, and I think it's really going to take off. They are doing video clips on venues, vendors, you name it, they have it. There is a section "Ask Ali" from Engaging Events by Ali, where you can ask one of the top wedding planners in the area whatever your little heart desires. You can register to win dinner for two at One Sixty Blue....kinda catchy! I am a featured vendor there, so you can check out my listing if you'd like as well!

Check out their opener! Let me know what you think!

Happy New Year!!!

Well, another year has passed, and darn, was it quick! I decided this year to take a much needed
vacation around the Christmas season, and I'm so glad that I did. Unfortunately, the entire family got sick. Right after Christmas, Kailee got the stomach flu, then I got it, and then poor James got it. Kailee had the it the longest, I felt awful. It's a terrible feeling to know there's nothing you can do for your child. So this year, we stayed in for the New Year to recoup. We had a great time. We watched Ratatouille, and Kailee's expressions were priceless. She was giggling, and kept looking at us everytime something funny happened. By the time the movie was over, it was already 11:30....and Kailee was still up. So I remembered we still had some party hats left over, so we busted them out! Take a look!

And I had to add this picture in of Kailee. I took it when we went to see Santa...doesn't she look like a little doll? She is going to be 2 at the end of this month, I still can't believe it. She's talking so much now, she's like a little person. Oh, my little baby is all grown up!

So, now to my New Year's resolution......to blog more, to lose some weight, to spend more time with my family and friends. (There will be more on that later)

Okay, so you guys will be my constant nag throughout the year...Priscilla, where's a new post? Priscilla, don't eat that, Priscilla, what are you doing on the computer at 11:00pm, you need to get your sleep so you can play with Kailee tomorrow! Talk to you all soon!
