Name: Priscilla
Location: Chicago, IL

My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Chris and Leahia's Engagement

Hi Everyone,

Well, I'm still settling back in from Atlanta, and gearing up for this weekend's bridal show. Right before I left for Atlanta, I shot an engagement session for Chris and Leahia....in the snow of course! We had a great time though, despite mother nature's way of telling us "Go inside!"

Chris and Leahia were naturals at this, I didn't really give them any direction, just laughing and having a great time. And the pictures show it! They are having an intimate family wedding in Arizona in July, so when you come across the red rock in the slideshow, that is a our representation of it! I know, it's a far stretch, just go with it!

I always have the toughest time picking a song for each of my engagement sessions. I don't know why, but I spend more time picking the song then doing the entire slideshow! I feel like it always has to be a good representation of me, and the couple. So just know that a lot of thought process goes into making one of these!

Anyways, hope you all enjoy it!

Bridal Show

I just got back from Atlanta where I was at a business seminar put on by Liana Lehman. I know what you're thinking, boring. But boy did I learn a ton! I'll have more to post on that later this week.

I am though pleased to announce I will be a part of a great bridal show coming up on February 24th, from 10-1:30pm. It's being held at the River East Art Center. I will be amongst some other great vendors, like Mira Couture, BBJ Linens, Le Royale Icing Cakes, and more! For more information, visit Wedding Chicago's website, (click below for the link!) This is not your typical bridal show, which I think is great. You'll actually have time to visit with the vendors in a relaxed atmosphere. Come check out my booth if you get a chance.

On a sad note...I'm very sad to see the shootings that have taken place at Northern Illinois University. If you haven't heard anything about it yet, you soon will. Here is a link to the article posted on Yahoo. Northern is little over an hour from home, and my younger sister has a few friends that attend there. I immediately called to make sure her friends are ok, and they are. Please keep the families of those who lost loved ones in your prayers.

Kailee turns 2!

Well so far this year we are off to a great start! It's been a bit crazy, but crazy is good! Kailee is officially 2 years old...I still can't believe it. We had about a million people over to celebrate. Okay, a slight exaggeration, but I was so busy getting food together, the cake, games, I barely took any pictures. Can you believe that? A photographer that didn't take pictures? It seems like every time I go to my nieces' birthdays or friends, I get a ton of pictures. I definitely felt the difference with my own party. You have to be a mom first, then a hostess, and there's no time for anything else! We were about 3/4 through the party when I realized that we didn't even pull out the video camera yet. Oops.

Kailee's birthday was a princess theme, and boy did it look like it! We played hot potato princess style, we passed around a glass slipper. We played something similar to pin the tail on the donkey, but instead it was put the princess closest to the castle door, yes, I know, it's a little wordy. :) Lastly, all the little ones decorated tiaras or crowns for their party hats before we cut the cake. Here are some pictures and you can see my little munchkin is so grown up!

Check out her cake!

AND she got a princess bike....she's going to be styling when she's riding!

Okay, I know, she looks just like James. EVERYBODY tells me that!

'Til next time!
