Jodie and Brad

Well, I was waiting until my new blog was up and running, but I can't wait any longer! Yes, I am redoing portions of my blog, which I'm really excited about. But I couldn't let poor Jodie and Brad wait any longer to get a sneak peak at their wedding! So here's what you get so far...and you'll see more soon, I promise! :)

So I had to start with this one, well, b/c I think it's going to be Jodie's favorite! This is the entrance to the Meridan, where their reception took place. The Meridian is actually an old theater that was converted into the venue....it's a pretty neat place! I love when there's history behind a location!




Okay, can I just say that this is MY FAVORITE getting ready shot I've taken. It always helps when you bride is beautiful and has a gorgeous dress!

her reception! I love this shot of the room.



And I had to add this picture in b/c Jodie is very talented...not only was she playing the tambourine, but she was singing and playing the drums!! That's my kind of bride!

Bob Davis/Mike Colon in Chicago!

Well, I was so happy to see some major photographers touring in Chicago for a change. And the result...it was the biggest turn out they had! Yeah, go Chicago! :)

Anyways, I brought my assistant Chris to hear Mike Colon and Bob Davis speak. Anyone who has followed my blog has probably heard me speak of Mike before. I attended his workshop in California around this time last year, and it was life altering. It's amazing how much you can learn from someone in just 4 days. Anyways, it changed how I was doing everything in my business, and he has really helped me grow personally and in my business. So I naturally wanted my assistant to have an opportunity to meet him as well. Bob Davis is from Chicago, and is an amazing photographer. His knowledge of lighting alone blows me away! I had listened to him speak one time for about 2 hours, and so I made sure not to miss him speaking again!

We had a great time that day, and was glad I was able to hang out with them again. Here are just a few shots from the day.
