Bellissima Chitchat

My Photo
Name: Priscilla
Location: Chicago, IL

My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Megan loves John

Okay, instead of Joanie loves Chachi, we have Megan loves John! They have been patiently waiting for their engagement session, and I couldn't find a song! Can you believe that! At one of my last weddings, my bride told me that her videographer needed songs, and she told me I always have the best songs. So I totally feel the pressure to have some unbelievable songs playing with every one of my slideshows. So
please help me out and put a post of some of your favorites.

Back to my wonderful couple, Megan and John. Funny story on how they met, they started to tell me they dated in 7th grade. I was like "WHAT?" and I think they saw the puzzled look on my face and they immediately began telling me that they briefly dated in 7th grade, but then went to different high schools and college. Mutal friends got together and they were both there, and the rest is history. I just think that story is adorable!

So I headed up to Lake Forest where they live and their session was at Forest Park Beach. The entire town has that Cape Cod feel to it, which I love! Earlier that day, there was a crazy thunderstorm, but it cleared up just in time for their session. It actually worked out great, because it emptied out the beach, and we practically had it to ourselves!

Here are some photos from their day

This is one of my all time favorite engagement shots

This is a close runner up!

I love how Megan is looking at John in this one!

Okay, so this picture, they were having a serious moment with their initials in the sand, and John just thought something was missing from this picture....hmmm

Thanks guys for having me out and giving me the history tour of Lake Forest! I love the city and I had a great time!

Jessica and Joe

Hi there!

I just wanted to post another amazing engagement session I did in this past month. This is Jessica and Joe, and they were referred to me by Melissa and Jim
who you all know I absolutely love these guys!

We went to downtown Frankfort and found some great places that were completely unexpected. It also helped that it was beautiful outside and the sun was about to set!

Here are some of my favorites.

Okay, I'm totally in love with this one!

Here is their slideshow. I've been waiting to use this song, and when Jessica told me she likes more blues/big band, and Joe, well, he's indifferent. So, I thought this was probably as close as I have in my collection. Hope you all enjoy!

Dawn and Michael's E-session

Well, I told you I have been busy! Here is another e-session with Dawn and Michael.
Of course, we picked probably one of the hottest and stickiest days of the year to shoot this, but I was happy as long as it wasn't raining! We were at Graue Mill in Oak Brook, which I've only taken pictures at one other time and it was a while ago. We came across some ducks toward the end of the shoot, and I have to say, I have never seen a white and orange duck before in person. I mean, I know there are ducks that coloring (donald duck), you just never see them walking around out in the open anywhere! Check out the slideshow to see it!

Thanks guys for letting me hang out with you!

Ciao!

Jay and Aimee

Jay and Aimee's engagement session was a 2 part session. When they first booked me, they wanted to send out Save the Date cards to their family and friends. The problem was we were in the middle of winter. But that didn't stop them! So our first session, it was about negative 20 outside, or so it felt. I couldn't feel my fingers turning the dials on my camera! Since their wedding was July 11th, (7-11) they decided to go with a 7-11 theme for their cards!

Uh, a little secret, 7-11 does not have slurpees in the winter apparently, that's
coke :)

Aimee and Jay met at Hightops, which was a great bar right around Wrigley Field...and
I say "was" because they closed it down! It's been there longer than I can remember. I think they turned it into another Harey Carey's restaurant.

So after freezing our buns off, I decided to offer them a second session, preferably in a much warmer time of the season. :) So we just met up at the Peggy Notebart Museum to get some pictures. It was a beautiful day, except for this very weird cloud cover among the skyscrapers. I've never seen anything like that in the city before. But we were able to get some great pics.

Here is their slideshow, I went with a much needed summery song!

Thanks!
