Bellissima Chitchat

My Photo
Name: Priscilla
Location: Chicago, IL

My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

More on Vegas

Okay, as promised, I'm posting some additional photos from Vegas. These photos are compliments from my friend Kenny Kim, check his blog out. The first photo is me, David Jay, David Burke, and Kenny. If you didn't read my last blog, David Jay has been my inspiration to get Bellissima moving in the right direction. I have followed his work, and was SOOOO excited to finally meet him. I was actually so nervous, that James ended up tapping him on the shoulder to talk with him! I never get nervous! But he was really cool, and talked with us for a while. We all ended up eating dinner together that night, and can you believe it, no one had a camera! Anyways, he'll be in Chicago speaking in May, and I can't wait to meet up with him again. Continuing introductions, David Burke and I met in California at Mike Colon's seminar. We've become great friends. He's an awesome guy, and we I just found out on the trip that him and his wife Bridget are expecting another baby! Congrats!

The second photo I'm posting we've added James at the bottom, and in the middle next to DJ is Corey McNabb. He is from Asheville, North Carolina. I also met Corey at MC's seminar, and I feel has been a bit of a mentor (whether he knows it or not :) to me. He's been doing photography for a while, and has recently stepped into the wedding arena. Last but not least is Melissa Rich. Melissa and I also met at MC's. She is from Denver, and one hell of a photographer. Most of the people I have met are from seminars and tradeshows. But what was unique about MC's seminar is our group became really close. We had 13 people, and 12 of us made it to WPPI. We all met up a few times, which was really cool to catch up. Unfortunately, there's not much coming up for all of us to get together again. But there's always next year!!

Good to be Home

Well, I'm finally back home, and let me tell you, it's good to be back! What a great trip though. I met so many cool people from all over the country. One of the pictures I'm posting is of me and Mike Colon, who is an Orange County CA photographer. I just got back from his seminar a few weeks ago, and we had such a great time. He and his wife opened their home to 13 complete strangers, and we had the time of our lives! Such a great guy, and so down to earth. So it was only fitting to have a picture of us this time around.

I do have to say this trip was mostly work, and very little play. I went to many different seminars, and looked at A LOT of products. James and I were exhausted by the end of each day. The highlight of the trip was that I finally got to meet David Jay. I was like a school girl with a crush! You would've thought I met Brad Pitt or something! I have been following DJ's work for some time now, and he's really been the inspiration behind getting me to where I'm at now. I guess he's the colleague that I aspire to be like one day. He was generous enough to talk with James and I and share some stories about his struggles in the beginning of his career, and what steps he's taken to get where he's at now. He's truly an amazing guy. He was a lot taller than I pictured him too! :) Sorry DJ if you read this, but it's true! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, but one of my friends did. As soon as I get the pictures, I'll post them.

Anyways, got some great ideas and can't wait to get them going. Thanks to all the great people that I met. And I hope to catch up with you all soon!
