My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most. I am married to an amazing guy who is constantly reminding me of how great I am, and I have a 3 year old daughter Kailee, and just expanded our family with the addition of our son, Rylan. That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!

Wedding Guide Shoot

Well, I had the privilege of doing a photography shoot for the Wedding Guide this past fall. It was just released this past month, so I can officially blog about it. Yeah! This was so much fun b/c there was so many details, yet I could completely see this done at a wedding. That's what I love about the Wedding Guide, I feel like it's something my brides could actually use at their wedding. This shoot was no different!

This time Laura from the Wedding Guide was helped out by the amazing duo from Tying the Knot, event planners Brooke and Christine. Everyone did such an amazing job, we got a 2 page spread in the magazine! The shoot took place at the lovely Wilder Mansion in Elmhurst. I was blown away by the place. It's gorgeous! Here'a list of vendors that all participated to make this day awesome.

Floral and Decor Design: Phillips Flowers
Cake: Toni's Sweets
Invitations & Placecards: Tying the Knot Wedding Consultants
Linens, Tableware, Tables, Lounge Furniture, Bar and Barstools: Classic Party Rentals
Lighting: Precision Sound and Lighting
Popcorn: Garrett Popcorn

Look how great this turned out. And the chandelier, it's part of the mansion!

I absolutely love the chargers!

This was harder to shoot than I originally thought. I think b/c there was so much to see on the table! But I love this idea.

So this shoot was more difficult than ones I've done in the past because there were 2 shoots in one! There was this whole other lounge space, which has become pretty popular at weddings. The mansion worked perfect because it already had a designated space, and the drapings added a little touch of elegance.

Fortunately for me, this was just colored water...but boy did it look inviting!

Even though the drinks were just for show, the popcorn was not! I was able to take some of that home with me, and Kailee was very grateful. :)

And last but not least, a girls always needs a bouquet.

I love photographing set ups like this! We had such a blast, and I hope to be working with these vendors at a real wedding
this year!

Thanks everyone!

Aimee and Jay

Hi Everyone,

Here is another amazing wedding! This is Aimee and Jay, and their wedding took place in Chicago. They were one of the unlucky couples that had their wedding originally planned at Holy Name Cathedral, and the construction was suppose to be finished by their wedding date, and unfortunately it wasn't. So they moved the ceremony to Assumption Church, which I think is just as gorgeous!

The day started at the Palmer House and then off to the ceremony. After that, we
headed to the Kinzie Street Bridge in Chicago to get some shots. Then off to Galleria Marchetti for the reception.
Here are some of their pictures from the day.

Here are a bunch of the details

I had the pleasure of working with Misse Daniel from Honey Bee Weddings
Thanks Misse for everything.

Ciao,

Priscilla

Christine and Jerry

Hi Everyone,

This blog post is way overdue. This is Christine and Jerry. I shot they're engagement session early last summer, and have been waiting for their wedding ever since. They are such great people and so easy to work with. Of course, it was raining out, just in time for photos! Arggg! But we mustered through it by hiding under big trees and jumping out in-between showers. They were such troopers.

So here are a few detail shots

Here is the lovely bride

And we can't forget the groom!

I love this shot, you can just feel how happy these two are!

Here is the notorious "real quick everyone gather before it starts pouring" shot of the bridal party

So we found this new spot...it was awesome. Here are some shots.

Check out later tonight for another post.

Ciao!

Mandi and Matt

Hi Everyone!

I've been a total slacker in my blogging. I know. But in the next 2 or so weeks you will see a ton of posts go up, so I am making up for it. Summer has officially hit, and boy has it been busy. So everything has taken a little longer than normal. So thanks everyone for being so patient.

This is Mandi and Matt. I absolutely love them. Their wedding was awesome. It was at the Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva. The day started out pouring rain. Well, that's not actually true. I am convinced that I am bringing rain with me wherever I go! I got to the hair salon to get some pictures, and no sooner did I get out of my car did it start raining! It has happened to every one of my sessions this year except for one. So, I've decided to do an anti rain dance now before every session. Hopefully that will help! :)

So here's how we started the day!

Luckily where Mandi was getting ready there was a porch!

Mandi looked radiant in this dress.

And Matt you didn't look to shabby yourself!

It was freezing out by the Fox River, but you wouldn't even be able to tell, these
two were preoccupied with eachother!

Thanks guys for letting me be a part of your day! I had a great time!
